City College of San Francisco houses thousands of students, faculty and staff each day. With classes beginning in the morning and lasting into the night the need for a strong and reliable security system was evident. By employing Sonitrol’s security system more than 25 years ago, the College has been monitored day in and day out. With a verified system, respondents are alerted by Sonitrol’s Monitoring Center at the first sign of a threat.
Currently, Sonitrol monitors City College of San Francisco’s 10 campuses throughout San Francisco and surrounding areas, including the district business office. The entire campus is equipped with Sonitrol’s panels and keypads, panic buttons, and managed access system as well as audio and video detection.
Kristine L. Demafeliz, Executive Assistant to Chief of Police André L. Barnes of the S.F. Community College District Police Department and current Authorized Personnel (AP) Liaison between CCSF and Sonitrol, says the Sonitrol team has always been a helpful resource in maintaining the campus.
“The most beneficial component of working with Sonitrol Security has been their assessments. Since we have partnered with them for more than 25 years, some of our older equipment needed updating. It’s never a problem to call the installation team and schedule a free assessment. They are always quick and efficient and understand our needs,” said Demafeliz.
Demafeliz can easily monitor their accounts at any time, day or night. Any time there is a threat, Sonitrol’s Monitoring Center reaches out to determine if first responders should be dispatched.
For more than 30 years, Sonitrol business security systems have been keeping businesses, schools, and homes safe in California.
