This year, we are honored to be mentioned in the Security Business December issue focused on integration firms who have given back to their communities during the year. The December edition features businesses from top industry leaders to regional successors, and it is a great privilege that Sonitrol (Kimberlite) was able to earn our spot in this year’s issue. Today we want to share a recap of our feature in the issue and shed light on the importance of helping others in our communities year-round.

“Our company was very active this year,” President/CEO Joey Rao-Russell says. “I have an amazing team who volunteer their own time, money, and family time to these great causes on top of what we sponsor as the company.”
Our Charitable Efforts in Action
Throughout 2019, our team at Sonitrol (Kimberlite) was able to participate in a variety of events and philanthropic occasions to help others around our communities. Kimberlite (Sonitrol) employees participated in the Torch Run for Special Olympics to extend their support. Additionally, as a company, we donated life-saving first aid kits for all 14 of the Bakersfield Police K-9s. Other activities we participated in throughout the year include a Backpack Drive in partnership with Clovis Police Department and Clovis Schools, where more than 2,000 backpacks were handed out and a Toy Drive for Hayward PD, where more than 100 gifts were donated to local children; and sponsorship of the Bakersfield City School District Luau, which raised more than $40k to mostly be used to promote science and STEM education.
We dedicated a blog post to our contribution to the Backpack Drive, which you can read more about here. If you are interested in learning more about how we give back here at Sonitrol or how we can keep your business secure this holiday season, contact us here.
