Top 5 Breweries to Visit in Livermore
1. Eight Bridges Brewing
Eight Bridges Brewing is led by Justin and George Beardsley, with 37 years of combined experience in the field of business. Eight Bridges Brewing has one of the largest Tasting Rooms in the Tri-Valley so bring your kids, friends, and even bring the dog. They usually have 10+ beers on tap on any given day. The Tasting Room offers tasters (make your own tasting paddle by selecting any 4 tasters) and glasses of beer. They also sell growlers and crowlers so you can enjoy your beer at home! Eight Bridges does not sell food on site so make sure to eat before you come. They do host events from time to time so be sure to check out their calendar of events to stay up-to-date on upcoming happenings.
2. Altamont Beer Works
Altamont Beer Works is located in the heart of Livermore’s exploding wine country. Their newly expanded 4,500 sq/ft Taproom has been a labor of love. They pride themselves on their tap room, which is locally built and handcrafted. At Altamont Beer Works, they are known for their fresh beer. All of their beers are produced on site and they have 30 rotating taps pouring the freshest beer in the area. On the weekends, they open up a Brewing Lounge. They also offer large party special occasions and events open to the public.
3. Shadow Puppet Brewing
Shadow Puppet Brewing Company is a family-owned craft brewery dedicated to bringing artisan beers to beer aficionados and novices alike in Livermore, CA. They blend both traditional and innovative brewing techniques and ingredients to design unique, tasty brews for the local beer community. Shadow Puppet specializes combine traditional brewing techniques with uncommon ingredients to keep their draft list new and surprising. They continue their growth and impact through ongoing product exploration and actively engaging with the local beer community.
4. INC 82
INC 82 is located in Dublin, CA, which is only a short distance from Livermore. This microbrewery was founded by a couple, John and Jenny, to pay tribute to the date that their hometown was incorporated in 1982. The two were looking for a place to eat in the area and realized they didn’t have a lot of options to choose from. They decided to create their own, with a hip non-chain restaurant environment, to enjoy themselves.
Inside of the brewery and restaurant, they have a mural of old Dublin dating back to 1913- how neat! WE invite you to try their local beer, cocktails, and food for yourself the next time you’re in the area!
5. Fieldwork Brewing
Fieldwork Brewing Company is a craft brewery founded in Berkeley, CA with a focus on exceptional, honest beer-making. Fieldwork brews are served in our Berkeley, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Mateo, and San Ramon Taprooms, and at the finest craft beer-focused establishments in Northern California. Their beers are available on tap in any of one of their taprooms, and most are available #ForAdventuresToGoin 32 and 64oz growlers and 32oz Crowlers. In late 2016 they began a limited-release can program. Try out Fieldwork Brewing the next time you visit Livermore, its only a 45 minute commute!
